Sue Reynolds Homework

Mrs. Reynolds' Third Grade

Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday break with family and friends, and the children are rested and ready to begin 2018!

We continue to read a mix of fiction and nonfiction. The students are working hard to strengthen comprehension skills. They are justifying their answer choices by underlining information in the text to support their answers. They should be making every effort to read for pleasure every night!

In math, we have completed the 3 chapters on multiplication and are beginning to understand the concept of division. The children should continue to practice their multiplication facts for 10 minutes as often as possible because this will make division that much easier for them.

Please feel free to contact me via note, phone call or email during the year with any questions you may have regarding your children. I will get back to you as promptly as possible. My email address is

Please check the students' homework folders every night for daily assignments, weekly test schedules, and notices about other important classroom information. If at any time you need to speak to me, please do not hesitate to contact me, and I will be sure to get back to you as quickly as possible.

We will have a 10 minute "working" snack time every day.  If your children choose to have snack in class, please send them to school with a healthy snack. Our room is a peanut free zone and snack must be fresh fruits or vegetables. Please do not send in juice for the children to have at their seats. They may keep a water bottle on their desks throughout the day. I appreciate your help in encouraging the children to enjoy healthy foods!

This is my 9th year teaching in the Richmond County School System. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. I currently teach 4th grade S.T.E.A.M. to a great group of munchkins that are eager to learn and always ready to discover the endless possibilities of life! In my spare time, I like to read, spend time with my family, and travel. I am a firm believer that the best way to learn is through exploration, collaboration, and active engagement. I have an open door policy, so please stop by and join us in our paperless, flexible seating, S.T.E.A.M. classroom!
